Bach Ma National Park

Bach Ma National Park is located only 60 km south of Hue. Covering an area of 22~031 hectares~ the park was created in 1991 to protect the centre of the last corridor of forest stretching from the South China Sea to Vietnams border with Laos.

With steep mountains and dense forests this area is home to a wide variety of animals and plants and as a result Bach Ma is recognised as one of the biodiversity centres of Indochina.

Departing from Hue~ we drive 60kms to Bach Ma National Park.
Bach Ma summit offers a range of unique trails for those interested in wildlife and history or who simply wish to enjoy the distinctive natural beauty of the park. Each trail can be walked in under a day and do not require any special hiking equipment.
This afternoon we hike through sub-tropical forest taking us to the Ngu Ho and Do Quyen Waterfalls. The Ngu Ho~ or Five-lakes~ Cascade is a series of small waterfalls which crash down into pristine pools of clear water secluded under a canopy of foliage.

You will be responsible for carrying your own belongings; therefore it is in your own interest to pack as lightly as possible. We suggest you keep your luggage weight down to a maximum of 12 kg with a reasonable daypack for the day treks. You should also have comfortable walking boots for the walks. Sandals are not advisable.
